Introduction to Foodborne Viruses: Course Overview
A practical, evidence-based training session
Understanding the Main Foodborne Viruses
A clear introduction to norovirus, hepatitis A virus, and hepatitis E virus in the food chain. You will learn:
- what they are, and how they are passed on
- real situations where contamination can happen in everyday food production and handling.
- how they can be prevented and controlled
Delivered in a Clear, Simple and Engaging Format
A 4-hour live session delivered online or on-site. No technical background is needed.
The training involves real examples, simple explanations, interactive quizzes, polls, and Q&A to keep everyone involved and make the information easy to understand.

Terms & Conditions
Cancellation Policy – Please Read Carefully
1. Cancellations by the Client
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to martin.dagostino@virosafety.co.uk.
1.1 Cancellations made 14 days or more before the session
A full refund will be issued.
1.2 Cancellations made less than 14 days before the session
Cancellations within 14 days of the session, including non-attendance on the day, are non-refundable.
1.3 No rescheduling
If you need to move your booking to another date, a new booking will be required.
2. In-Person Training
These terms apply only to in-person training sessions delivered at the client’s premises or an agreed venue.
2.1 Travel costs
Most in-person sessions do not incur travel charges and these will normally be included in the fee (dependent on location).
If the delivery location is significantly outside the Midlands / Warwickshire area, any additional travel costs will be discussed and agreed with the client before confirming the booking. Please contact martin.dagostino@virosafety.co.uk to confirm travel arrangements, including any requirement for an overnight stay.
If ViroSafety has already booked any non-refundable travel or accommodation for a confirmed session, and the client subsequently cancels, these costs will be charged in full.
2.2 On-site access issues
If ViroSafety arrives on-site but cannot deliver the session due to access restrictions, unprepared facilities, or operational decisions by the client, the booking is treated as a late cancellation and is non-refundable.
3. Small Group Bookings
Small Group Bookings cover up to 3 delegates.
If fewer than 3 delegates attend, the flat fee of £900 still applies.
4. Standard Group Bookings
Standard Group Bookings cover up to 10 delegates.
The group fee applies regardless of the actual number of attendees. Reductions in numbers do not reduce the fee.
5. Individual Professional Bookings (Non-Students)
Individual professional bookings are for scheduled online group sessions.
Failure to attend the session is treated as a late cancellation and is non-refundable.
6. Cancellations by ViroSafety
If ViroSafety must cancel the session, you will be offered a full refund or a new date.
ViroSafety is not responsible for any delegate travel or accommodation costs, including costs incurred independently by the client or their organisation. These costs will not be reimbursed under any circumstances, even if ViroSafety must cancel or reschedule a session.
7. Payment Terms
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
A booking is not confirmed until payment is received.
Late or failed payments may result in cancellation of the booking.
